Sell-Out Seasons at the Opera House
George is as popular with little kids as he is with the big kids – and had two sell-out seasons at the Opera House for the wickedly funny Conductor and the Clown.
Little Kids Jazz
George also appears regularly with KinderJazz – a jazz band for littlies and has also been invited to front a pilot children’s television show based on the Kinderjazz show.
Journo's Jam
In the past two years, George has also hosted the journos’ jam - a yearly variety show - featuring legendary news hounds Tim Webster, Chris Reason and others, which helps raise money for journalists with cancer.
Managing Through Music - Office Workshops
Do you strike the right note with your colleagues? Sick of the exhausting crescendo of worker dissatisfaction in your workplace? Consider music management – a new program specifically designed to increase worker productivity and boost workplace camaraderie.
The Managing Through Music half day or full day seminars harness the successful strategies of the world’s greatest leaders and CEOs – using “musical moments” to illustrate them.
In a series of workshops, George shows business leaders how to improve worker satisfaction, boost profits, creatively adapt to shifting markets, and stop rival organizations from poaching their best staff!
“To create new ripples in the market place, you can’t rest on the laurels of past successes,” says George. “Successful companies adapt to fast changing market places, re-write the “chart” so to speak and know how to move quickly and creatively. “Music by its very nature can teach you how to think creatively, how to improvise and how to listen to your gut instinct. By demonstrating through music, the basic tenets of business improvisation we know it can improve any organisation’s bottom line.”
Talent Runs Through the Family
George recently married journalist, author and musician Jane Worthington. This creative couple has delighted festival lovers around the world, with their “Botticelli Bum” song - written for posteriority's sake!

George and Jane also boast a formidably talented and musical family – George’s son Arthur, 15, is already performing in jazz gigs about town on his guitar, whilst his daughter Nellie also has the singing gene and George’s youngest son Jerry has also taken up guitar and trumpet.
On Jane’s side all five of the Worthington girls play or perform something from accordions to tap dancing. It just goes to show that the family that plays together stays together!

Workshops
WIth children of his own, George knows more than anyone that music has to be fun for kids. He regularly conducts workshops for community or school events – whether it be for strings, guitar or vocals, or to leading the whole school band in a way where everyone's talent is showcased.
